The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ represent a significant update over the classic Sim Pedals Ultimate. As many of you have noticed it took us quite some time to get this product ready.<\/p>\n

Although the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ have retained the overall geometry of the previous version, a long process of design calculations, sourcing suppliers and materials, determining the optimal production method and a lot of automated durability testing have resulted in a comprehensive revision of most subassemblies and a much improved product overall.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank our partners and suppliers for their support over the past months, as well as thank you, our fans and followers, for your loyalty and patience.<\/p>\n

We at Heusinkveld set\u00a0high standards\u00a0for\u00a0ourselves<\/strong>. SmartControl\u00a0compatible controller<\/strong><\/em>
\nThe Sim Pedals Ultimate+ are\u00a0powered by Heusinkveld SmartControl<\/em>. You can now easily calibrate your pedals, adjust output curves and deadzones and create, store and share multiple profiles. In this video\u00a0Enzo explains<\/a>\u00a0how this is done.<\/p>\n

The controller has a new all metal casing. The complete pedal system including the electronics has passed EMC compliance testing, guaranteeing a stable output signal under all circumstances.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

All new progressive brake springs<\/strong><\/em>
\nNew\u00a0custom made Heusinkveld\u00a0injection molded thermoset elastomers<\/em>\u00a0are installed on the brake pedal. These new springs are a Heusinkveld-specific development and have been tested to have zero performance degradation even after one million duty cycles. You can look forward to an\u00a0unprecedented\u00a0progressive brake feel<\/em>,\u00a0a\u00a0smooth and responsive operation and firm\u00a0bump\u00a0and rebound characteristics.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Hard and soft elastomers of different lengths are supplied. You have a total of\u00a09 possible resistance settings<\/em>\u00a0on the brake, ranging from extremely hard to very soft. We also added a knurled knob to the brake spring stack for easy adjustment of the pedal preload.<\/p>\n

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ retain their\u00a0realistic linear brake force\u00a0measurement<\/em>, just as seen on real cars. You have the option to set nonlinear output curves in SmartControl.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Improved smoothness and durability<\/strong><\/em>
\nWe have added slide bearings to major load bearing pivot points (spring rod pivots) in order to improve pedal smoothness, reduce unwanted noise and greatly enhance the durability of the pedals.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n

Bespoke\u00a0hydraulic\u00a0dampers<\/strong>\n<\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Heusinkveld now uses custom made 1-way (throttle) and 2-way (brake, clutch) dampers to simulate the hydraulic damping effect as seen on real clutch, brake and (sometimes) throttle assemblies. The option to adjust the amount of damping is still present.<\/p>\n

These\u00a0new\u00a0dampers,\u00a0having gone through extreme durability testing,\u00a0further enhance reliability and\u00a0retain their\u00a0maintenance-free\u00a0characteristics<\/em>.\u00a0Even in the unlikely case of a\u00a0damper\u00a0failure, because we use a separate load cell to measure force\u00a0or position,\u00a0the pedals\u00a0will\u00a0still retain their core functionality.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n

Revised\u00a0sensor mounts<\/strong><\/em>
\nWe\u2019ve implemented black mounts of a more durable material for the load cell actuator springs and the load cell mounts on the throttle and clutch. These replace the former acrylic mounts and improve long term reliability.<\/p>\n

Color updates<\/strong><\/em>
\nAt Heusinkveld form (almost) always follows function. We now however do provide black powder coated metal coil springs, black brake spring elastomers and black bearings on certain pivot points. It makes the integration of the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ onto your own sim rig just look that bit better.<\/p>\n

Much awaited Upgrade Kit<\/strong>
\nFor all of you who are looking forward to the Upgrade Kit for the classic Sim Pedals Ultimate: it will be available appr. Tuesday July 27th. With the Upgrade Kit you get the main technical upgrades of the Sim Pedals Ultimate+, including the SmartControl controller and the new brake spring elastomers. Everything you need to know about the Upgrade Kit will be communicated early next week.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n
