You may think that Heusinkveld One looks different compared to a real race car wheel. And you are right.
Many real racing wheels lack good accessibility to buttons and rotaties. Heusinkveld One has been designed for simracing: Maximum input access while driving.
10 physical pushbuttons and 2 push rotaries are immediately available without having to take your hands of the wheel. And there’s more.
Maximum control also applies to our shifter paddles. You can both pull and push them.
We have developed a dual pivot system for the shifter paddles. This means that the paddles feel soft to push and firm to pull. The resistance of the paddles is generated by magnets.
Using our SmartControl software, you can assign separate or combined outputs to the push and pull motion. You can also set separate or combined outputs between the left and right flipper. The possibilities are endless.
The shifter paddles are equipped with hall sensors for wear-free operation.
We have added extra functionality to the rear of Heusinkveld One: It has dual clutch paddles as a standard option. The paddles use hall sensors for wear free operation and have an ergonomically shaped indentation.
Paddles can be set to output to a separate or combined axis. With our SmartControl software, the bite-point and output curve is configurable per paddle.
Heusinkveld One, through our SmartControl software, allows you to multiply the amount of outputs for every single physical output.
Using the function (Fn) layer, which essentially works as a shift key, a secondary output can be set to each button, rotary or clutch output. You can pick any button to activate the Fn layer, which is indicated on the wheel when active.
Alternatively, one can set different outputs when short or long-pressing a button.
When you combine the function-layer and the short-long press functionality, up to 4 outputs can be configured for a single button input.
Heusinkveld One keeps your hands on the wheel, at all times.
The wheel features 4 push rotary encoders. Two are positioned at the top of the wheel and can be rotated while keeping your hand on the wheel.
All rotary encoders feature 2k button caps: They have a grippy and profiled outer layer which maximizes your grip under all circumstances.
The rotaries can be gripped in a traditional way. Due to the large flange on the cap, you can also easily make a scrolling motion.
All four rotaries have a high 270 grams detent force. All rotaries can be pushed to work as a button as well.
On the center panel you’ll find two 7-way switches. These switches have a 4-way directional pad, a 2-way rotary and a pushbutton integrated in a single switch.
The 7-way switched are fitted with a 2k switch cap. The switch cap has grippy material in the center for optimal grip.
Quality pushbutton switches are used with a high 700 grams actuation force, good tactile feedback and a soft sound.
Choose your own button layout. Button guards can be removed and you can move around the button covers. A total of 24 buttons are supplied for 14 button positions.
