Like many aspiring race car drivers, Ricardo Sanchez started out with karting at a young age. After hitting budget contraints Ricardo racing career appeared to come to an early end, until he enrolled in the Nissan Playstation GT Academy International. Against thousands and thousands of competitors he managed to win this competition which catapulted him into the Blancpain Endurance Series and the Pirelli World Challenge with Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.
In 2017 Ricardo also moved into prototype racing, appearing in an Oreca LMP2. He will follow up on his prototype racing experience with a season in a Ligier LMP3. Ricardo is preparing for his racing duties on his personal race simulator, which is equipped with a set of Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate.
