Between December 2015 – February 2016 we have sold a batch of Sim Handbrakes which did not have a casing around the external USB Controller PCB. These handbrakes came with a bare controller board (and were also sold as such). Owners of a handbrake from this batch have the opportunity to retrofit this case by ordering our casing kit.
This kit contains the following parts:
- – Acrylic top plate
– Acrylic bottom plate
– 4 bolts
– 4 long spacers (appr. 10mm long)
– 4 short spacers (appr. 3mm long)
– 1 hex key
Please refer to the images below on how to install the casing (please note that this image shows a different board with a similar casing construction).
The bolts should be inserted through the top acrylic plate first, then through the large spacer, then through the PCB, then through the short spacer. The bolt can then be secured in the bottom acrylic plate using the hex key (do not overtighten).
