Tony Kanaan

2004 IndyCar champion & 2013 Indianapolis 500 winner

After starting out in karting, Tony Kanaan raced Formula Ford and Formula Chevrolet in Brazil in the early 90s. He then crossed over to Europe, racing Formula Opel Euroseries, Italian Alfa-Boxer and Italian F3. He followed this up with a move to the United States taking a second place and then a championship in Indy Lights.

After Indy Lights, Tony graduated to CART/IndyCar taking his first race win at Michigan in 1999. Having competed in 22 seasons of CART/Indycar, he has taken 17 race wins including the 2013 Indianapolis 500. He was the overall IndyCar champion in 2004.
