This page will give you a basic advice about which pedal set should be most suitable for you, based on a few typical use cases. Below the use cases you’ll find a chart giving an overview of the technical specs of our pedal sets.
Casual simracers: We recommend going for the Sim Pedals Sprint. The maximum operating forces are above most other commercially available sets, giving you a large range of options to set up these pedals to your needs. The Sim Pedals Sprint also come with easy to understand software to calibrate and fine-tune the pedal output.
Experienced simracers or Esports professionals: We typically recommend going for the Sim Pedals Sprint. Only choose the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ if the following applies to you:
Real race car drivers or race teams: We recommend going for a set of Sim Pedals Ultimate+. Especially if you run quicker Formula cars (FRenault 2.0 and higher) or quick GT cars you will be used to applying very high brake pedal loads. The Sim Pedals Ultimate can handle these (up to 140kg), the maximum brake force of the Sim Pedals Sprint (65kg) is slightly below the typical requirements of quick GT cars.
Other commercial applications (eg. sim centres, expo simulators etc.): We recommend going for Sim Pedals Ultimate+. Although the Sim Pedals Sprint offer a suitable range of maximum brake forces, you need to prepare your simulator for the 1% of customers who will abuse your hardware. The Sim Sprint are therefore intended for home use only. Being able to cope with higher peak brake forces, the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ are suitable for use in a commercial environment.
